How to book your Newborn session in Sydney?

BOOK
To secure your appointment, I require a 50% deposit. In the event that you need to postpone, your deposit can be transferred to a new date—no stress at all.

BIRTH
I kindly ask that you notify me within the first two days after your baby arrives. This allows me to schedule your final session date while your little one is still in that ideal newborn stage.

No two babies are the same, which is why each session is fully personalised to suit your newborn. We'll send you a short questionnaire before the shoot to get to know you better and tailor the experience to your preferences and your baby's needs.
We also provide a helpful preparation guide so you can feel confident and ready on the day.

When is the best time for a newborn photo session?
I recommend booking your newborn session within the first 15 days of life. During this time, babies are typically sleepier, curl up naturally, and are more settled—ideal for capturing those peaceful, womb-like poses.
How do I book if I don’t know exactly when my baby will arrive?
Not a problem! Simply book in with your expected due date, and once your little one arrives, let me know within the first two days. We'll then lock in a suitable date for your session.
My baby has already been born and I didn’t book in advance—can I still book?
Yes, absolutely! This is a fleeting moment you’ll never get back. Just contact me as soon as possible, let me know your baby’s birth date, and we’ll do our best to fit you in and capture this special stage.
What props and setups do you use for the newborn session?
Your baby’s comfort and safety are always my top priorities. That’s why I keep things simple and personal by using your baby’s own clothes, blankets, and favourite toys during the session. This not only ensures everything is familiar and comfortable for bub, but also helps create photos that are uniquely meaningful to your family—natural, timeless, and truly yours.
When and how should I book my newborn session?
I recommend booking your session while you're still pregnant, ideally during your second or early third trimester. This guarantees you a spot in my calendar and allows you to plan your baby’s first days with the session in mind.
What is photo-by-photo retouching?
Every image you select is individually retouched by hand using professional tools like Photoshop and Lightroom. That means I carefully smooth skin, remove little blemishes or flakes, and perfect each photo—without losing your baby's natural charm.
For example: if bub scratches their face just before the session, don’t worry—it won’t show in your final images.
How long does a newborn photo session take?
Our newborn sessions typically run for around 3 hours. This gives us plenty of time for feeding, settling, cuddles, and capturing those beautiful sleepy poses without rushing you or your baby.
Where does the session take place?
All newborn sessions take place in the comfort of your own home, so there's no need to pack or travel with a newborn. I’ll bring a small selection of wraps, blankets, and accessories, but we’ll also use your baby’s own clothes, toys, and keepsakes to make the session more personal and meaningful. This allows us to create images that truly reflect your family’s style and story, all while keeping bub relaxed in a familiar environment.
